About This Course
Complex commercial litigation requires a strategic approach that begins long before the first pleading is filed. This course provides experienced litigators with advanced techniques for managing high-stakes business disputes, from early case assessment through trial and appeal.
The program covers litigation planning and budgeting, including how to develop realistic projections and communicate effectively with clients about costs and risks. Participants will learn strategies for managing discovery in document-intensive cases, including the use of technology-assisted review and other e-discovery tools.
We will examine effective motion practice strategies, including how to use dispositive motions to narrow issues and create leverage for settlement. The course also covers trial preparation and presentation techniques, with a focus on how to present complex business disputes in ways that resonate with judges and juries.
